🌟 Glowing Star

Commonly used to represent various senses of glowing as well for as for a sense of flourish. Not to be confused with 💫 Dizzy, ⭐ Star, 🌠 Shooting Star, or ✨ Sparkles, though their applications may overlap.

On Snapchat, this emoji displays next to a contact who has had their snaps replayed in the past 24 hours.

Microsoft’s bursts are blue lines, though were previously yellow. Apple’s star previously resembled its ⭐ Star. Samsung’s star previously displayed a burst radiating out from its center.

Glowing Star was approved as part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
